In February, platforms like Instagram, Google, and YouTube introduced features aimed at enhancing collaboration, creativity, and content sharing.

Instagram

Two updates from Instagram in February, making it easier to communicate on the platform:

Making it Easier for Brands and Creators to Collaborate on Instagram

In the latest social media updates, Instagram has announced an update to their creator marketplace, making it easier for brands and creators to collaborate on partnership opportunities.

The creator marketplace has expanded to eight new markets, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Japan, India, Brazil, and Chinese export brands, reaching countries outside China.

One key feature of the updated creator marketplace is the introduction of machine learning-based recommendations. These recommendations leverage Instagram data to help brands identify the most suitable creators for their campaigns, streamlining the process of sourcing creators for partnership ads.

Additionally, creators and brands can join the creator marketplace through Meta Business Suite, where creators can showcase their unique qualities and interests in a portfolio.

The matching process between creators and brands has been further optimized with new custom, machine learning-powered creator recommendations. Brands have the ability to search and filter for creators based on specific attributes, review creator portfolios, and connect with them directly through a dedicated Partnership Messages folder within the Instagram app.

Once a collaboration agreement is reached, brands can enhance organic Instagram content as partnership ads or create new partnership ads using Ads Manager. Partnership ads, previously known as branded content ads, provide a transparent and effective way for brands and creators to run ads together. The partnership ads feature a paid partnership label, ensuring transparency and authenticity to the audience.

With these updates, Instagram's creator marketplace aims to facilitate seamless connections between brands and creators, offering a platform for growth and collaboration.
